MYERSVILLE, Md. (AP) — More than 140 of the most promising female golfers are teeing up for a tournament in Myersville.

The LPGA Symetra Tour event begins Friday at the Musket Ridge Golf Club.

The Symetra Tour was previously called the LPGA Futures Tour. It’s for women trying to earn places on the LPGA Tour.

The tournament is scheduled through Sunday. The par-72 course is 5,333 yards long.

The Symetra Tour began in March and continues through September. The top 10 finishers on the money list will move up to the LPGA next year.
