ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A 24-year-old woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for a series of burglaries in the Severn area.

Tiffany Lee Wise of Orchard Beach was also ordered to pay more than $27,000 in restitution at Thursday’s sentencing.

Wise pleaded guilty last month to five counts of first-degree burglary. She told police she would drive two men to homes, where the men would break in and steal property. She sold most of the jewelry stolen and received $20 to $30 of the profit.

Her defense attorney tells The Capital of Annapolis that Wise began using drugs after high school and has tried rehabilitation but relapsed.
