Woman Killed, 4 Hurt In Talbot County Crash

QUEEN ANNE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a woman was killed and four people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision in Queen Anne in Talbot County.

It happened about 1 a.m. Saturday Route 404 and Newtown Road. Troopers say a car driven by a 17-year-old girl failed to give the right of way to oncoming traffic while entering the highway.

Authorities say the teenager's vehicle crossed the path of a car driven by Robert Robey, 75, of Charles County. A passenger in Robey's car, 69-year-old Grace Robey, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers tell WBOC-TV that Robert Robey, the teen driver and her two passengers were flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

The crash is under investigation.
