PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police say thousands of people are expected to gather at memorial events for an officer killed in a crash and traffic delays are possible.

A viewing for Adrian Morris, 23, is scheduled at Borgwardt Funeral Home on Powder Mill Road in Beltsville, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodstream Church on Lottsford Road in Mitchellville. A burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Lakemount Memorial Park Cemetery in Davidsonville.

Morris was killed in a crash while pursuing a vehicle on Interstate 95.

Morris died Monday in the crash on southbound I-95 near the Powder Mill Road exit. Two officers were pursuing a vehicle that matched the description of a car involved in a theft.

The Washington Redskins held a moment of silence before their game against the Indianapolis Colts in honor of the Prince George’s County police officer.
