Steve Davis: Be Glad It's Not Valentine
A lot of people have been calling the show about Bobby Valentine's comments last week to a New York radio station. He said the Orioles have been lucky.
Now, in his defense, he also pointed to the bullpen, but he said with the Orioles remarkable record in one run games, they have been lucky to be this close in the division. To think, he was the first choice of Andy MacPhail.
Now that was lucky, that he said no to the Orioles. Think about it, he passed on Baltimore, waiting for a better opportunity. He got it in Boston, where they have more money to spend, and now he might be fired.
Aren't we the lucky ones!
