Reporting Steve Davis
The Orioles this year remind me of the 2000 Ravens.
The Ravens had never had a winning record, so getting over .500 would have been enough. Dan Duquette said the first thing is that the Orioles need to get to .500. Both teams had major hurdles to overcome. The Ravens had no offense for 5 weeks…never mind the aftermath of the Ray Lewis trial. The Orioles had an off-season with little to be optimistic about, then problems with the offense, rotation, injuries, etc. Each team had one constant. Ravens with defense, Orioles with bullpen.
As unlikely as it would seem, maybe the Orioles could come out of nowhere and win a title.
