Md. Man Killed After Falling From Boat
MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Natural Resources Police say a man was killed when he fell from a boat and was struck by its propeller.
It happened Sunday about 8:45 a.m. in the Patuxent River in Mechanicsville. The Capital of Annapolis reports police as saying 29-year-old Lewis Jack Sprouse of Harwood was using a trotline to catch crabs when his foot got tangled in the line and he was pulled overboard.
Officers say the boat, a 17-foot Mako, rode in circles and stopped after hitting Sprouse.
Sprouse's body was retrieved by a dive team from Charles County.
