Off-Duty Officer Pulls Gun At Terps Game
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WJZ) -- An off-duty Montgomery County police officer pulled a gun at a Terps game Saturday evening.
According to campus police officials, the officer called for help Wednesday evening from a tailgating area. A pedestrian said that the officer had struck his hand with the car mirror; the officer said that a water bottle had been thrown at his car.
The officer got out of his car and an argument ensued. Ultimately, the officer drew his gun and called for help.
There are conflicting witness reports from the scene. Someone said that the officer was intoxicated and the officer volunteered to take a Breathalyzer test. That test showed that he had no alcohol in his system.
Campus police are investigating the incident.
