Pipe Break Leaves Many Without Water In Largo

LARGO, Md. (AP) -- The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission says a water main broke in Largo, knocking out service to more than 200 customers.

The commission says the 24-inch pipe broke about 3 p.m. Wednesday at 603 Largo Road. About 265 customers were without water or had low water pressure. WSSC says water that was at low pressure was still safe to drink.

The commission told WTOP-FM that it hoped to restore water before or during the 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. time frame on Thursday.
