Westminster Getting New Street Sweepers

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — Westminster will be getting two new street sweepers.

The mayor and Common Council approved the purchase on Monday. The two sweepers will cost a total of more than $300,000.

Director of Public Works Jeff Glass tells the Carroll County Times that the equipment should arrive in a few months.

The city is considering selling the old sweepers, which could generate $20,000.
