WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington police say a District man has been charged with murder for the death of another man following a street fight.
Police say Arvel Wills, 23, was arrested Thursday for the death of Dewayne Wills. Police say Wills, 25, was taken to a local hospital on Saturday suffering from a head injury and died on Monday. The cause of death was later determined to be blunt force trauma and the death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner’s office.
Police say investigators determined Wills had been involved in a fight at the intersection of Abbey St. and L St., Northeast, before he was taken in a private car to the hospital.
Police did not release whether or how the two are related.
