Inmate Who Failed To Return From Funeral Arrested

DENTON, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say an inmate who did not return to the Caroline County Detention Center after being allowed to attend a relative's funeral has been arrested.

Police say Shawn Richard Lituski, 23, of Hillsboro was arrested at his girlfriend's home in Henderson on Monday. He had been temporarily released from the detention center on Oct. 9.

Lituski, who was serving an 18-month sentence for possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, was ordered held without bond.

WBOC-TV reports that his girlfriend, 21-year-old Charity Nicole Britt, was charged with harboring a prison escapee and other offenses. She is being held on $50,000 bond.
