Woman Dead In Double-Shooting In Charles County
WALDORF, Md. (AP) — A woman is dead and a man seriously injured after a double-shooting in Waldorf, and detectives are investigating the circumstances.
Charles County officials say it happened Friday evening when a man and woman walking their dog along a foot path were shot by a man who passed them.
The 40-year-old woman died of her injuries at a hospital and the man, who is 43, was being treated for serious injuries.
The motive wasn’t immediately clear, and officials have only a vague physical description of the suspect. A money reward is being offered for information leading to the man’s arrest.
The couple was found by officers who were working a security detail at Westlake High School for a football game.
The victims’ names weren’t immediately released.
