Body Found In Burned Mobile Home Near Sharpsburg

SHARPSBURG, Md. (AP) — Investigators are trying to identify a body found in the smoldering ruins of a mobile home near Sharpsburg.

The Herald-Mail newspaper of Hagerstown reports that firefighters responded shortly after 5 a.m. Monday to the blaze. The mobile home is located along the Potomac River south of Sharpsburg.

Deputy State Fire Marshal Ryan Chapman says the body was found while firefighters were extinguishing the fire.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
