WEATHER BLOG: Here Comes The Cold Again

We hit 66 degrees Sunday under sunny skies.  That is 8 degrees above average (yes, it has dropped to 58 degrees).  Monday will be another warm one before a much colder air mass takes over.  We have about a 20 degree swing coming our way Wednesday, all courtesy of Tuesday's cold front.

This is a strong cold front that plowed into the West Coast, hammered the Rockies with heavy snow, and is now producing severe weather across the Plains.  It is also a large cold front, extending all the way from Canada down into Texas.  The front will weaken as it moves our way, but push clouds our way Monday then rain and maybe some thunderstorms Tuesday as it marches across the state.

Dry air will follow the front on Wednesday, but so will the cold.  Temperatures will drop through the afternoon Tuesday, then maybe not get out of the 40s on Wednesday.  So we go from above to way below once again.  Even though temperatures will moderate later in the week, we will continue to run below average heading into next weekend.
