Man, 77, Dies After Car Hits Him In Linthicum

LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police say a 77-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car in Linthicum.

Police say the crash happened Monday at about 5:15 p.m.

Police say Richard Charles Snyder, 69, of Edgewater was driving along Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard near Edgewater Road when he hit a man who stepped into the road.

Police identified the pedestrian as Nelson Bert Lehnert of Linthicum. Police say there are no crosswalks in the area of the collision and that Snyder was unable to avoid hitting Lehnert.
