Glen Burnie Man Arrested For Stabbing, Raping & Kidnapping Acquaintance

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ)— Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a Glen Burnie man, who they say stabbed, raped and transported a woman against her will to a nearby grocery store.

The suspect was located on scene at the Food Lion located in the 100-block of Crain Highway N. in Glen Burnie. He has been identified as Shane Lee Miller.

Police say this incident was not a random act of violence. Miller knows the woman through her job.

The incident occurred  Monday morning at Miller's apartment in the 400-block of Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie, where he held the victim against her will, stabbed her and sexually assaulted her.

Afterwards, police say Miller forced the victim into her vehicle and drove her to the Food Lion. While there, she quietly alerted the store's staff, without the suspect's knowledge, to contact the police.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where she was treated and released.

Miller is currently being held without bail at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
