Mother Dead, Toddler Grazed In Bus Shooting

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Police say a mother was killed and her child grazed by a bullet in a shooting on a bus in Washington. A man is being sought in the killing.

The shooting occurred about 5:40 p.m. Sunday near Minnesota Avenue and 19th Street. Police say Selina Brown, 20, was boarding the bus when she was shot.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 23-month-old daughter was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver also sustained a non-life threatening injury.

Police are looking for Javon Steven Foster, 27, in the killing.
