MIDDLETOWN, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a pedestrian has been reported struck and killed on a Frederick County road near Middletown.

The Frederick News-Post reports that emergency workers responded Monday afternoon to a location in the 8300 block of Hollow Road.

An emergency services dispatcher says the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. A supervisor there didn’t immediately return a call from The Associated Press.
