Ellicott City Man Arrested In String Of Burglaries
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police have arrested an Ellicott City man in connection with a string of burglaries.
Police say they arrested Kenneth Vollmerhausen, 28, and charged him with multiple counts of burglary. Police say Vollmerhausen was arrested in connection with an Ellicott City burglary that happened on Dec. 21. Police say that a woman arrived home to find Vollmerhausen's truck in her driveway and that he threw her jewelry at her as he fled.
Police say they linked Vollmerhausen to three other burglaries that took place Dec. 17, Dec. 26 and Dec. 27. During those burglaries watches and jewelry were taken.
Police say they found burglary tools in Vollmerhausen's vehicle and also searched his home. He is being held without bond. A telephone listing for Vollmerhausen was disconnected.
