ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Officials in Anne Arundel County are investigating an accident involving a box truck and a police car.

Both vehicles overturned in a crash Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m. Officials say it isn’t clear what caused the crash, but the accident didn’t cause any serious injuries.

The crash happened on southbound Interstate 97 near Route 100. The police officer involved in the crash was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The box truck driver was also taken to a hospital as a precaution.
