City To Pay New Speed Camera Vendor Per Citation

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The city is overhauling its speed camera system by replacing faulty cameras and the company that manages them.

According to WJZ's media partner, The Baltimore Sun, some critics do not like the city's contract with its new contractor.

It will pay Brekford Corp. $11.20 per $40 citation.

Some lawmakers argue the so-called bounty system gives Brekford a financial incentive to process questionable citations.
