Md. State Fairgrounds Plays Host To Gun Show

TIMONIUM, Md. (AP) -- More than 30,000 people are expected to attend a gun show at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.

The gun and knife show is being held Saturday and continues through Sunday. WBAL-AM reports gun sellers say they've seen more people buying firearms recently. That's as lawmakers have talked about increased gun restrictions.

Talks about new restrictions follow a gunman's December shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. A total of 20 children and six adults died.

Vice President Joe Biden is expected to make recommendations for curbing gun violence on Tuesday. The proposals are expected to include calls for universal background checks and bans on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.
