When Ray Lewis isn’t around next year, you’d assume someone or someones will need to step up into the leadership role. There are some obvious candidates.
The quarterback is the obvious choice. However, Joe Flacco is not a vocal guy, and admitted as much Thursday. I don’t see him being that guy. There are a host of Pro Bowlers from which to choose: Rice, Suggs, Reed (if he is here) and Ngata. I think Rice would be good in that role but I am going with Bernard Pollard. He plays hard and physical and has a persona that commands respect.
