NEW YORK (WJZ) — A big donation from a high-profile Johns Hopkins alum.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is donating $350 million to the university for student financial aid and research addressing complex global challenges.

This gift is one of the largest ever to the school.

This brings the grand total of Bloomberg’s financial support of the university to more than $1 billion.
