A batch of light snow is moving across Maryland Tuesday afternoon. It won’t last very long, but could make for some slick roads during the evening commute. That batch will keep on moving, although some additional flurries or snow showers could cross the state overnight. That’s because another Clipper will pass well to our north overnight. When that Clipper leaves early Wednesday, we will start transitioning into a different weather pattern for the rest of the week.
Sunshine will return Wednesday and temperatures will step up closer to the average of 43 degrees. However, sunshine will give way to a new round of clouds Thursday as a new storm moves our way. This storm will be coming up from the southwest. If the precipitation from that storm arrives Thursday night, it may start as a wintry/icy mix. But temperatures will rise to the mid 40s Friday, changing everything over to rain. A quick shot of colder air will follow this storm Saturday with gusty winds. Then, we take a bigger step up with temperatures heading into next week.
Highs will climb closer to 50 degrees early next week. Another round of rain could move our way starting Monday.
