The rumor has been floated that the Cleveland Browns are interested in going after Joe Flacco if the Ravens use the non-exclusive franchise tag on Flacco. The Cleveland Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot talks about the possibility that the Cleveland Browns would go after Joe Flacco if he were available.

While most feel (including Vinny, Rob & Mark Kay) that it is a fantasy, Cleveland is flush with $40 Million in cap space & if the Ravens don’t lock up the freshly minted Super Bowl MVP the Browns could sacrifice 2 1st picks for him & afford the monster contract he has coming.

Vinny: “How good of friends are Joe Linta (Flacco’s Agent) & Michael Lombardi (Browns VP)?”

Cabot: “I believe that they have a good working relationship…”

Mary Kay Cabot also talks about the Ravens other free agents as possible Browns targets: “Sure, it makes sense…they said they don’t plan on making a big, huge splash in free agency, is it true? is it not? …I would consider Paul Kruger & Ellerbe, even one of those guys to be quite a splash” “Kruger could fetch up to 9 Million dollars a year on the open market.”
