Man Arrested For Indecent Exposure At Mall
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- Police in Howard County say they've arrested a man after he exposed himself for a second time at a mall in Columbia.
Police say they arrested Steven Michael Lerer, 49, of Burtonsville on Wednesday. Police say the first incident was reported Jan. 13.
At that time, a woman reported seeing a man walking near the food court carrying a jacket in front of himself with his genitals exposed. A mall staff member reported seeing a man near the food court acting similarly Wednesday. Mall security detained Lerer until police arrived.
Officers recognized Lerer from surveillance images captured during the first incident and also recognized the jacket he was carrying. A telephone message left at Lerer's office was not immediately returned early Friday.
