3 Killed In Glenarden House Fire Identified

GLENARDEN, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s fire officials have identified three people killed in a house fire in Glenarden.

Authorities said 36-year-old Darrell Price Jr., 8-year-old Tania Price and 4-year-old Patrice Price died at local hospitals, where they were taken after Thursday’s fire. Two others, a woman and a child, remain hospitalized.

Officials say the blaze was reported about 4 a.m. at the one-story, single-family home. Firefighters arrived to find flames and thick smoke coming from windows. About 75 firefighters battled the blaze.

Authorities said Friday that the cause of the blaze was electrical in nature and was accidental. Damage is estimated at $100,000.

Firefighters say no smoke alarms were found in the home.
