O'Malley Appoints Nina Harper Delegate
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley has appointed Nina Harper as a delegate for Baltimore's 45th legislative district.
The governor announced the appointment on Friday.
Harper, a Democrat, will fill the vacancy left by the death of Hattie Harrison, who died last month.
Since 2004, Harper has managed the day-to-day operations of the office of housing and community development in her capacity as the executive director of the Oliver Community Association and the Oliver Economic Development Corporation. She also has served as a liaison between Oliver community residents and government agencies and businesses.
