WEATHER BLOG: Tricky

We will have a general light and intermittent rain and drizzle event continuing Saturday. There is some cold air hanging tough which can result in a little ice for a time in the morning, but precipitation is pretty sparse on radar now. Still though, any precip N and W before 7-8 a.m. in our viewing area can freeze on some surfaces as temperatures hover near 32.

The main difference in this entire set up is that with the low taking a longer time to develop and taking a track a little farther to the east than we were thinking and that forces less moisture across our area and keeps it more to the south and east. It can still rain and drizzle at anytime Saturday, but the thinking is that amounts will be less than we were thinking and should be 1/10 of an inch BWI on west with higher amounts up 0.35 of an inch in eastern areas. Still gonna need the umbrella and coat. Clouds will linger most of Saturday night, but the main time frame for any rain and drizzle is the evening. On the back side of the low drier air will return Sunday with some sun and a breeze.
