Matt Zenitz Talks NFL Combine

Matt Zenitz of The Carroll County Times joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk Baltimore Ravens draft needs. More so than anything else, the Ravens met with the safety group the most. They know getting a young free safety into the mix with Ed Reed, if he is still around, would be good for development. The Honey Badger, Tyrann Mathieu had a good 40 time but his 4 reps of 225 bench was unimpressive. Another undersized player with off field issues, Manti Te'o, gets talked about a lot. Both are better football players than overall athletes. The off field distractions are a major concern. Once they get the money, nobody knows how they're going to behave.

Tavon Austin is a local kid from Dunbar and is a phenomenal athlete. He suggests that you watch this YouTube video of his game against Oklahoma:

Matt also tells us about who impressed most overall, not just who impressed the Ravens. Arkansas Pine-Bluff OT Terron Armstead ran a 4.65 40 time. Thats a new record for Offensive Lineman and at 6-foot-4 306 lbs that's nothing short of jaw dropping. There are so many player groups and players to consider at this years draft and the Ravens are doing their due diligence in selecting the next rookie class.

We also get Matt's take on the Joe Flacco contract situation.
