OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ)— Ocean City has issued a weather alert due to minor flooding and standing water.

Ocean City Emergency Personnel are advising citizens to avoid the south end of Ocean City.

The resort town expects heavy rain and sustained winds of 35 to 40 mph gusting in excess of 50 mph from Wednesday evening into Thursday.
