Mondale, Page Honored For Defense Info Work

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) -- A Defense Department school that teaches service members to be journalists and spokespersons is honoring two notable graduates.

Former Vice President Walter Mondale and Chicago Tribune columnist Clarence Page are among the inductees Thursday into the Defense Information School Hall of Fame at Fort Meade.

The school trains service members and civilian military workers from the United States and nearly 80 allied nations. They serve as journalists, photographers, videographers and public affairs officers.
