The Ravens have turned over their roster more than any other Super Bowl team. 6 starters are gone and more could be on the way out. How is this a good thing?
John Harbaugh says you don’t want to stay the same. I tend to agree. Standing pat generally doesn’t work. Obviously, financially they couldn’t afford to keep all these players.
Let’s remember something else. Prior to the playoff run, this was an underachieving team. It was far from a stellar regular season.
The defense struggled for much of the year, and the offense was so disappointing that the offensive coordinator was fired.
The Ravens probably realized that bringing back the same crew was not the answer.
I wish a couple of these players were still here, such as Boldin and Ellerbe, but I do think the money on each guy, considering how much is tied into other players, made it tough to keep them.
