2-Alarm Blaze Injures Firefighter, Damages Homes In Arnold

ARNOLD, Md. (WJZ)— A firefighter was injured while battling a 2-alarm house fire in Arnold.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday in a two-story single family waterfront home in the 400-block of Beach.

About 61 firefighters arrived to the scene from Anne Arundel, Annapolis, Naval Academy and Queen Anne County fire departments, controlling the blaze at 3:15 a.m.

No one was home at the time of the incident.

The fire caused significant damage to the home, as well as minor damage to an adjacent home.

The injured firefighter was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis with minor burns.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
