Fire Forces 400 From Bethesda Hotel

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County fire officials say a fire forced more than 400 people to be evacuated from a Bethesda hotel.

Fire officials say the fire broke out in an electrical room in a garage early Monday at the Bethesda Hyatt Regency hotel. The blaze also shut down Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda for several hours. Authorities say the hotel guests were taken to a nearby high school while firefighters fought the blaze.

One injury was reported to someone who was working in the area at the time. The injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
