Towson Gets To Keep Its Baseball Team After All

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- Great news at the start of baseball season. They'll be playing ball at Towson University after all.

Budget cuts had hit Towson athletics hard, eliminating baseball and men's soccer.

Now Governor Martin O'Malley has found $300,000 for Towson's athletic budget. That's enough money to keep baseball at Towson until 2015 and it gives supporters time to raise money so the Division I sport can be self-sufficient.
