BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A man is arrested in connection with the murder of a Baltimore man who inspired the ’90s sitcom, “Roc.”

Lorenzo Tornton faces second-degree murder charges for the death of John Wood.

Investigators say on Monday Tornton punched the 80-year-old during a dispute, causing him to fall and hit his head.

Wood died in the hospital

His life as an honest trash worker was portrayed by Baltimore native Charles Dutton in his television series, “Roc.”
