Jeremy Conn: Matt Elam Was My Pick

A few months back we started talking about the draft and I spoke highly about a few players. One of those players was Matt Elam and he was my prediction for the Ravens at 32. I love the way this kid plays football and I believe he is very versatile in the secondary.

Matt has very good ball skills, posting 4 interceptions and a forced fumble in his final season at Florida. He has been a First Team All American and he was First Team All SEC. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and he comes from the best Conference in College Football.

Matt Elam's biggest strength is in the run game. Don't be fooled by his size, he lays the lumber in the run game and Elam has fantastic moves on the open field to shed blockers. I'll stand by my pick and say the Ravens got the best player available.
