LANSDOWNE, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County police say one of two men shot in front of a home in Lansdowne has died.

Officers say on April 27 about 10 p.m., two people in masks began shooting at the two men. They were taken to Shock Trauma.

Police arrested Brian Sheppard, 20, of Baltimore on May 1 and charged him with attempted first-degree murder and other offenses in the shootings.

Police say one of the victims, James Townsend, 33, of Lansdowne died of his injuries Wednesday. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide the next day.

Police have referred the case to the State’s Attorney’s Office to see if additional charges will be brought.
