Kolbe's NHL Playoff Recap 5-7-2013

Steve Kolbe is joined by Kevin Thomas & Andy Snakovsky to bring you the lastest on the NHL Playoffs.

The Rangers got back in their series with the Capitals with a 4-3 win. Rangers finally scored a PP goal but still only went 1-6 with an extra man. Game 4 is tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden.

Playoff hockey returned to Toronto but it wasn't long before the festive atmosphere turned to despair in a Bruins 5-2 win over the Leafs. Nathan Horton scored in a third straight game and the Bruins have a 2-1 lead in the series.

Detroit evened their series with Anaheim with a 3-2 OT win on their home ice. Pavel Datsyuk scored his first goal of the series and Jimmy Howard stopped 31 shots.

The defending champs are back in the hunt after tying their series with the Blues in a 4-3 Game 4 win. Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter both netted goals and Jonathan Quick had 19 saves.

The Islanders look to even their series with Pittsburgh after losing a heartbreaking Game 3 in OT. Penguins Goalie Marc Andre-Fleury has give up 8 goals in the last 2 games.

The series that has had more fights than goals continues in Ottawa tonight as the 2 seed Canadiens try to even the series with the Senators. The teams combined for 210 penalty minutes in the 3RD period of Game 3.

Minnesota looks to keep their momentum going against the top seeded Blackhawks in Game 4 of their series. Jason Zucker scored an OT goal in Game 3's win and tonight Minnesota looks to even the series.

The first series that could come to a close could happen tonight San Jose has a commanding 3-0 lead against the Canucks.
