Former Md. Congressman Kweisi Mfume Voted Morgan State Board Chairman

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Morgan State University announces its pick for Board of Regents chairman.

The university selected former Maryland congressman and former NAACP president Kweisi Mfume.

In a 14-0 vote with one abstention, the Morgan alumnus was voted to the position of chairman, which was vacated in February 2013.

Mfume says his vision for the university is a push for competitiveness amongst its students.
