State Police Say 3 Pounds Of Cocaine Found In Car

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a woman has been arrested after troopers allegedly found more than 3 pounds of powder and crack cocaine in a car she was a passenger in.

A trooper pulled over a car that they say was speeding on Interstate 70 in Frederick early Tuesday. According to the News-Post of Frederick, police say the trooper saw suspicious activity and called for a police dog to scan the vehicle.

Authorities say the dog alerted and a search turned up 3 pounds, 11 ounces of cocaine in a bag of women's clothes on the rear seat behind a passenger. Troopers say the drugs were worth about $125,000.

Twenty-year-old Dyanne Marcia Paul of Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with possession of a large amount of cocaine and other offenses.
