Danny Knobler of cbssports.com joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about the recent struggles the Orioles have been facing. Danny discusses Jim Johnson’s most recent struggles when it comes to closing out games. With three straight blown saves, Danny talks about how his command isn’t like it used to be. Knobler talks about how the Orioles bullpen hasn’t been nearly as good as it used to be, but that’s not their fault, if the starters can’t eat up some innings it starts to take a toll on the bullpen. With the struggles of the starting pitchers, Danny talks about the Orioles moving some guys before the deadline to get a good arm that will be able to eat up some innings and take the stress off the bullpen. According to Danny what the Orioles really need is for the arms in the minors like Zach Britton and Jake Arrieta to live up to their potential.
