Man Shot By Officer In Southwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Police say an officer shot and wounded an armed man in the southwest Baltimore neighborhood of Pigtown.

The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. Saturday. Police say officers got a report of a shooting and found an armed man.

Police say the man pointed a gun at the officers and refused to drop it. He was shot several times and taken to a hospital for treatment. None of the officers was hurt.
