Forum Scheduled To Discuss Red Line In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A forum has been scheduled to discuss the Red Line transit project in Baltimore.

The forum is scheduled for Monday in the city.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown will be present to welcome attendees.

The forum is being held to discuss details of the transit project with Maryland Transit Administration officials.

Interested construction firms will get an overview of Maryland's new public-private partnership law and the minority and disadvantaged business enterprise programs.

The Red Line is a planned light rail system along a 14-mile east-west corridor from Woodlawn to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Campus. Its estimated cost is $2.6 billion.
