Orioles rookie right-hander Kevin Gausman joined Zinno at Camden Yards prior to the start of the second game of the Orioles-Angels series.

Kevin said that his trip to the bigs has been incredible. “It’s been fun. It’s been cool. I think the guys on this team, the way that this team is, makes it so much more fun.”

Gausman’s early struggles have been documented, but the rookie wasn’t shy talking about them. “The hitters here are so much more smarter. I’m still learning. I’m trying to find out who I am and who I’m gonna be at this level,” said Gausman.

Fellow 20-year old teammate Manny Machado is enjoying a great season and Gausman has taken notice. He remarks on the most incredible thing, “Me and Manny played on Team USA, the 18-and-under national team, three years ago! That’s something that’s crazy to think about, but he was that good then. I knew he was gonna be a superstar.”
