WEATHER BLOG: It's Almost Summer!

This week, we will transition from spring to summer. The summer solstice will occur at 1:02AM on Friday, making Saturday the first full day of summer. All things considered, the weather here over the next week or so will behave pretty much in line with the calendar. We don't anticipate any extremes in the temp either way. By the weekend... we expect to trend warmer; even so, there is no sign that we will be locking into any prolonged heat wave with a big ridge of high pressure sitting over us for a few days.

As for tomorrow, things may get somewhat active in the storm department. With a front pressing southward and warm, humid air in place we could see more widespread thunderstorm activity... at least more widespread than it has been today.
