Chris Tillman joins Zinno

Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman joined Zinno for a little "bullpen session" over the airwaves on Last Call. Zinno has been very complimentary about the way the 25-year old has been successful this season, asking Tillman about his approach to pitching. "I think those nights where you do have to grind, it's a real gut check," said Tillman.

At 9-2, Tillman leads the team in wins and winning percentage. "As a starting pitcher, your job is to keep it as close as possible, get deep in the game, rest your bullpen and especially with this offense ... the chances are you come out a winner in that game," Tillman said. And he has done this so far in 2013.

Those nine wins are tied for third most in the AL, just two behind the league-leader. Zinno asked Tillman about the possibility of him being in the All-Star game next month. Despite his success, Tillman says he's not even worried about it, "I'm not thinking about that at all right now. I gotta focus on the task at hand - that's winning baseball games here, for this team, and keeping myself ready for my next start. I think that's the most important thing."
